We've entered the back half of the year, but 2023 still has plenty of new games waiting in the wings. After summer showcase season, July's giving us all a much-needed pause before some huge launched in August. And of course, Starfield's primed to drop from orbit soon after in September. Don't discount July's releases, though: With games like Exoprimal and Remnant 2 hitting this month, there's still no shortage of release dates to look forward to.

Of course, we're in the age of game delays, and we've only seen more during the pandemic years. It'll be no surprise if a lot of these games get their release dates knocked back for some extra polish. If they're lucky, it'll just be one delay. Not all of them are lucky.
Still, while release dates are always tentative nowadays, 2023 has already shaped up to be a huge year—particularly for RPGs. A lot of major releases and long-in-the-works sequels are targeting this year: June launched us into a frenzy of demonslaying in Diablo 4, Baldur's Gate 3 emerges from early access with a full release in August, and Starfield's sending us spaceward to kick off September.

Biggest new PC games this month
July's giving us some time to catch our breath before the headliner releases continue. Still, the month has anticipated games of its own. Exoprimal and Remnant 2 have plenty of co-op shooting for those with a third-person inclination, while Jagged Alliance 3 looks to resurrect a long-missed name in mercenary tactics.
